Hey! How to do Laundry?

So basically, laundry is not just about washing clothes, It is about how you wash your clothes.

For many of us, It’s one of those chores we learned to do from our parents. But for proper washing, you have knowledge, because knowledge is power and can make doing laundry easier and more effective.

Some facts about washing a different fabric…

Recent studies have indicated that different fabrics want different washed. Some of them are smooth, while some of them are harder.

1. 70% of dirt on your clothes is invisible. You can’t see with your naked eye.

Washing different fabrics?

First of all, we all need to know some questions like What type of fabrics are there? What type of water is used to wash them? What are the washing materials we need to use?

Cotton: Hot Water Wash

Cotton is a natural fiber, one hundred percent cotton fabrics are washable. However, always check the care labels in garments before tossing clothes in the washer.

According to me, Liquid detergents are best for cotton clothes. Liquid detergents are more cost-effective in terms of per load basis.

Cotton fabrics are very natural and absorb water easily, so liquid detergents are better for washing cotton clothes.

Polyester: Cool Water Wash

It is a manufactured fiber made by combining a long-chain synthetic polymer with an ester from a substituted aromatic carboxylic acid. Polyester fabric is one of the most synthetic materials used for clothing.

As always, make sure to read garment labels before washing any item.

Machine wash polyester with detergent on the normal cycle with cool water.

Use warm water while washing because warm water strikes the best balance to clean and protect your polyester clothes

Silk: Hand Wash or Cool Warm Wash

It is the natural fiber It is among the world’s oldest clothing materials. Silk is a very smooth, light fabric that’s usually made of fibers from silkworm cocoons.

you can always hand-wash your silk, using lukewarm water and a mild detergent.

To begin washing the garment, take a bowl filled with enough cold water to submerge the garments inside it, add a few drops of liquid detergent. And then wash your garment.

Wool: Hand Wash

Wool is a protein fiber derived from the fleece of sheep and other animals and it is also the fabric made from the wool fibers. The manufacturing process of wool is costly and makes wool expensive when compared to other fabrics.

Check the manufacturer’s care label before washing it will be very helpful while washing.

Use a gentle detergent to use less powdered detergent so that it will not harm your clothes. Turn the garment inside out before you wash it.

After the Laundry is Done?

we all know that after completing the laundry we should iron the clothes. There are some proper steps to iron the clothes and it is important to maintain the clothes.

Different fabrics will require different ironing technique. We use to iron our shirts, pants, etc. So be sure to iron appropriately for the garment.

Some Basic Rules

Sort your laundry by material.

Acetate, Rayon Silk and Wool should all be ironed at low heat.

Medium heat should be used for polyester.

High heat should be used for cotton.

Check the Iron is Ready.

It is to be at a definite heat to iron a cloth because Ironing with a cool iron will be inefficient.

Ironing should be according to the fabric like cotton and polyester fabric are damp prior to ironing.

Conclusion:

I feel that we all should clean our clothes at a very regular interval of time we need to be taking care of washing clothes. If we all wash our clothes and make it very neat and clean, then it will protect us from many diseases. It is a very good habit to maintain our clothes, I think it’s a part of life.
