Home Remedies To Make Stain Removal Easy

None like to wear clothes that are cloudy colored and stained. Light-colored clothes are more likely to catch stains, right? A good stain-removing spray is priceless but some tough stains need special treatment. Do you know there are many things in your cupboard that can help in brightening clothes and removing stains naturally? So let’s find out now.
- Foundation:
For spots like foundation or makeup, use dish soap to pretreat it and then hot water to clean it.
- Blood spots/ Vomit/ Urine/ Faeces:
In case of blood spots, using cold white vinegar immediately dried blood can leave a permanent mark. It’s one of the best blood stains. It’s important to soak the stain for 5 to 10 minutes. You can also use hydrogen peroxide and one cup of baking soda with hot water. This process can be used not only for blood spots, but also for spots of vomit, urine & faeces.
- Baby stains:
These stains are really easy to get but tough to remove. No worries dear mummas!! First rinse the spot in cold water, then rub it with a paste of meat tenderizer and again wash it in water.
- Food stains:
Well we basically face this problem all the time, right?? Just relax! Firstly soak the stain in dishwashing liquid and water. If that does not work, just try digestive enzymes like proteases. Grind up tablets and make a paste with water. Then rub the paste in the stain and keep for 20 minutes. And see magic!!
- Coffee spills:
Oops, accidentally spilled coffee on your dress? Well, coffee is so dark and pigmented that it can stain easily. But it is water soluble. Just take the eggs yolk and dabb in the stain for a minute before rinsing. And here you go!! The stain is gone!
- Tea spills/ soft drinks spills:
Just soak the spot in vinegar or try scrubbing with paste of baking soda and water. Rinse with cold water.
- Wine stains:
Mix liquid detergent and hydrogen peroxide. Then blot , but please don’t rub until the stain is gone.
- Melted chocolate spills:
First you need to make a simple cleaning solution by adding a tablespoon of dish soap to two cups of warm water. Then scrape off as much chocolate as you can, then you need to dab the stain remover on using a cloth or toothbrush. Rinse the cloth or brush after every dab, then just dip it back into the soapy water and dab again until the stain total goes away.
- Grease or oil stains:
Firstly you need to soak up stains as much as you can with the baby powder, baking soda or cornstarch. You can also use chalk as well, then add dish soap and rinse in water.
- Ink splotches:
If a pen leaked in your pocket, just make a homemade paste with alcohol. Apply white toothpaste to the pen mark, then you need to rub vigorously, until the mark is gone.
- Candle wax:
Firstly scrape away as much wax as you can. Then warm up your iron and put the stained fabric between two dry, clean paper towels. Then start pressing the area with warm iron. As the wax melts and soaks into the towels, you just have to repeat. Lastly add your desired stain remover.
- Crayon scribbles:
You have to do the same process as candle wax.
- Paint drips:
If the paint is still wet, just rinse the cloth under hot water. For oil based paints, dab the spot with paint thinner or turpentine, then just rinse and treat with stain remover.
- Gum:
Freeze with ice , then just scrape it off.
- Rust stains:
Take salt and make paste with lemon juice and then add it on the stain.
(Note-remember there should be no chlorine bleach, it makes the stain worse)
- Perspiration marks:
Scrub with shampoo, then add baking soda and vinegar, soak it in Salt water.
- Deo obant marks:
Rub a mix of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and water on the stain. Let it for half an hour and wash.
- Grass stains:
In case of mud or grass stains, use cold water and rub with liquid detergent then wash.
- Lipstick stains:
Firstly scrape if excess, then use mineral oil, ammonia and alcohol.
