Now many of us already confused how to do a laundry. Various households and Businesses use various techniques of how to do laundry. The perfect method must be executed in order to get the clothes cleaned and maximum dirt free. The detergent to be used should be of good quality and should match the quality of the clothes. Washers and dryers may have differences but knowing the basic and the exact technique may help.
Coming to how to do laundry there are three settings which include- cycle length, cycle speed and water temperature which helps to understand the settings and the effect they have on the clothes of the selected quality. There are other machines which may have different functions or are separated to execute a greater control, while in some of the machines ghe functions mentioned above are linked with each other in the settings.
Now what do these buttons stand for:-
- Cycle length stands for the length or the time or how long the machine will wash the clothes. It is prescribed to use shorter cycles for less soiled and delicate clothing and longer cycles for heavily soiled and bulky items. But the lesser the garments spend time inside the machine the longer they will last.
- Cycle speed refers to the force or the speed with which the clothes would be washed. The speed categories are fast/fast, fast/slow or slow/slow which are termed as regular, permanent press and delicate respectively. A regular cycle means that when both the detergent and the water are given in the drum the spin cycle is fast. A permanent press means the wash cycle is fast and simultaneously the spin cycle is slow making it a perfect fit for fabric clothes which wrink very soon and permanent press heps to remove those wrinkles.
- The last one which is the delicate cycle is the slow cycle which is used in case of delicate clothes like delicate fabrics or items with embellishments.
Regarding the water temperature below are some points which should be kept in mind:-
- Majority of the Landry can be washed with the help of cold water. Cold water helps to conserve energy, and helps on extension of the lifespan of everything which may include the jeans and also expensive bed sheets.
- Hot water will surely lead to fading of clothes over time, which is the reason cold water is recommended for dark bright color clothes. Hot water can also offer extra cleaning powder, and therefore is considered perfect for dirty laundry.
Nowadays there are very much contradictions on the usage of hot and cold water. Many have a firm belief that hot water helps to eradicate germs very easily, that is the dryer will take care of the germs.
Hand-in-hand Laundering
Hand Laundering has almost become rare nowadays due to the introduction of new technologies. Hand Laundering is anyhow a great skill to master. The requisites are very less as it includes the detergent, a clean towel, and plenty of space to fit in the garment or submerge it into the water. The location of the place where washing is to be done should be cleaned. A small amount or a teaspoon amount of detergent should be added to the water. After placing the garment into the detergent solution, it should be submerged fully. The detergent should penetrate the fibers.
Once the garment has submerged it should be allowed for soaking. The time period depends on the quality of the clothes that are being washed. Coming to the rinsing part the detergent solution should be drained and the sink should be cleaned.
The sink should be refilled with clean water and th garments should be allowed to release the soap. The clothes or the items should no longer release detergent.
After the completion of the rinsing comes the last step of drying. After the sink has been drained for the final time, the garment should be pressed down to release water.
The garment then should be laid on a clean, dry towel and should be rolled. The pressing out and pressing in of water will leave the garment only damp, rather than dripping wet, ready to left for drying in the air of hung.
