Laundry itself is the real neverending story. Sometimes doesn’t it feel like your laundry literally breeds itself when you are not around?? So yeah it’s kind of true that behind every mom or every working woman, there’s an enormous pile of unwashed laundry, isn’t it? So dear mommas, now get your laundry properly and perfectly done with some of our surprising and totally affordable tricks and tips. Let’s get started to get perfect laundry.
- Wanna know the secret of how to get soft, fluffy, and long-lasting towels?? Here you go:
Firstly add baking soda and vinegar to your load of towels then add half of the recommended amount of your favourite detergent. Vinegar and baking soda instead of detergent will always revive your old towels and please skip the dryer sheets and fabric softener to make them last longer.
- Oh no!! Did you just accidentally shrink your favourite sweater?! Just soak it into lukewarm water and baby shampoo or your hair conditioner, and let it relax a bit. I’ll get back to its perfect size. Always try to lay the sweaters flat to dry as opposed to hanging them, that’ll help to maintain the shape.
- Damn! Late for office and forgot to press your shirt or uniform last night and have no time right now?? Just relax dude! Hang them in your bathroom while you take your favourite steamy hot shower that will help to release wrinkles from the garments.
- Ew! Workout clothes still stink, even after washing?! No worries! Just squeeze a large lemon on them and try using baking soda with lukewarm water as well. That’ll remove the oils and sweats trapped in the fabrics and make them clean & fresh.
- The best way to sanitize your garments is to use hot water and bleach. But all-time bleaching is not good as well. So looking for an alternative for DIY bleach? Just sprinkle a little amount of washing soda into the washer.
- It’s good to wash jeans in every 4-5 wears to maintain their original size and always wash them inside out to keep them from fading.
- In case of darker dark colours, there’re a few ways to prevent their fading. Like,
- For deep black colour, use 2 cups of coffee or tea while washing.
- For dark colors like navy blue or plum, use 1 cup of table salt while washing.
- In case of dark coloured garments, use little cold water while rinsing.
- There are a few certain things to remember before washing clothes to get perfect laundry:
- Always try to remove extra pins and buckles from the garments.
- Always unzip the zippers and try to clean inside out.
- Try to close snaps and hooks and secure them.
- Another thing we always keep forgetting to check the pockets cause there might be some really important things that you won’t ever want to get destroyed.

- In case of blood stains, wash the clot in cold water and rinse the spot with hydrogen peroxide.
