Nevertheless, this type of clean and modern looking clothes can be achieved at home if we know the right method of washing and drying of garments.
Washing of clothes can be a bit tricky; most of us have committed this mistake at least once in our life that is mixing our colored garments with white garments and the outcome you all know. Every fabric has its way of washing; some materials tend to shrink in water, and some need to be air-dried.

How to wash different fabrics?
As mentioned earlier in the article, every fabric is different, and it needs to be dealt with accordingly. The different materials are Acetate, Cotton, Linen, Polyester, Silk, and Wool. The steps of washing the Fabrics are:
- Acetate: The composition of this fabric is made by mixing other materials; thus, it is a weak fabric so it cannot be washed in the machine. It needs to be gently hand-washed and then air-dried.
- Cotton: Comfortable yet light is what we feel when we wear cotton clothes. When it comes to laundry, read the label first. If it states preshrunk, then you can wash them either in cold or hot water, depending on the color, choose the type of water accordingly, so make sure you take them out from the heat rapidly because they get dried quickly.
- Linen: It is a beautiful looking fabric. Read the label and understand on how to wash it, if it states machine-wash, then make sure you change the settings. After washing it, air dry it.
- Polyester: When it comes to polyester, wash them in Luke warm water, but make sure you go through the label before washing it. You can either air dry it to cool dry it.
- Silk: All of us love silk because it is soft and a pleasant looking fabric. Well, until now, you have understood the importance of reading labels. When it comes to silk, there are machine-washable and hand-washable, so read the name and know what you’re dealing with. When hand-washing, the fabric be gentle with it. Wash it in Luke warm water. And then air dry or cool dry it.
- Wool: Generally, yarn is washable fabric, but just in case read the label once cause, there may be speciations on how to clean it. Now wool as material needs to be gently handled, choose a detergent that is best suited for yarn. After washing wool, it needs to be air-dried.

Saturate the clothes in vinegar and then gently rub spot stains with vinegar and baking soda. And wash them after some time, depending on the type of fabric you’re dealing with.
To get your towels to feel soft and feathery like you felt them before you purchased them to lower the amount of detergent you use to wash them, because of excess detergent results in making them stiff and rough.
Sometimes our clothes fade, and to prevent them from fading, add a bit of salt while washing them to maintain the color.
