By adminblog

How about saying hello to laundry. We all have a routine in our lives, and why not, for without that, there’s not the rhythm in whatever you do. Laundry always had its own significance and major pros in the routine of people. Most people do laundry almost every day; directly or indirectly, using detergent or without using detergent. It’s part of their life, even if they don’t realize it. Now, laundry has its own process and procedures which are being followed by certain people in their certain way. Laundry also has its own universal procedure which is being followed by the majority of the population out there. We all do laundry in our own comfort way but let’s get down to the actual procedures which should be followed while doing laundry, only if you love your apparels.

Steps to follow( Hello! laundry)

Just say Hello to laundry
 Check if the cloth is machine washable or not by checking the labels.
 The next step would be sorting of the clothes based on colors. The whites will go with the whites.
 Also, keep in mind not to include towels and sheets with the apparel. Similarly, never include shirts with jeans.

 The next step is easy, pick any universal detergent, and add it to the washer drum. Set the water temperature if your machine allows it and set the timer or the cycle. Don’t use heavy cycle until jeans or towels are in the drum. The delicate cycle will do the work.
 Once the cycle is over, remove we laundry from the drum and place them in the dryer if needed or to air dry. Note:- Few automatic washing machines have inbuilt dryer systems.
 The last step would be: when the clothes are dry, remove them and fold it with delicacy. Hang the shirts, if to be used sooner. Ironing of the clothes must also be done if needed be. And the linen clothes must have resided to the closets.

Care to know? Of course!

Hello while doing laundry these are the basic proceduresthat must be accompanied and taken care of. Then again, there are mistakes that we tend to make on a daily basis and can be corrected, once we get to know them on the ground level.

 Generally, we sort the clothes on the basis of color-wise. Well, that’s not enough, believe me! While sorting there are other parameters that need to be considered. Few of them are:-

  • Separate the dirty or soiled clothes with fewer ones.
  • sheets separated from undergarments
  • Separate towels from the socks.

 Don’t mix the sock with the clothes, Socks are miniature clothes and can go missing. If you lose one then there is no use of others. Better to wash them separately.
 While washing jeans or any other clothes such as pillows or bags, which has zippers in it must be handled with precaution. And the precaution being—don’t leave the zippers open. The metallic zippers can scratch or cut out other clothes and also harm the walls of the washing drum. It can also get attached to the fabrics and damage them, giving you surprise once you unload the washer drum.
 In the same way, the buttons of the shirts must be loosened up while putting in washer. Fastened buttons can damage the buttons and their respective holes.

Stains

 We all have been there when we get embarrassing stains on our clothes at the public places, or office or parties, and so on! We run down to the washroom and try to rub it with detergent or without detergent. Well, don’t do it! At that point in time, we may think that the best way to justify our stain is to give it a hand massage or elbow grease, vigorously scrubbing with all the power we have that point of time. But then, it’s not the best alternative and while doing so, it can spread the stain at the larger area. Instead, some bleach alternatives can make it go away or put it in the washer once you get home. But remember, do it as soon as possible.

 There are some clothes that have a ‘dry clean’ label or tags on them. Of course, don’t put it in the washer and wash it like routine clothes. These clothes must be handled with utmost caution. Moreover, some clothes such as linens or silks should also be handled with caution and better if we wash it by hand rather than putting them in the washer with other clothes.

 Lastly, we have a few clothes we are about the colour going off on the first time we wash and contaminate other clothes. In those cases, if you can wash them separately, that would be really great. But you can also do a test, before assuming that it will send out colours to other clothes. Take a different bucket or so and old white cloth and blot it with it to check if the colour goes. This is just a basic test.

Well, just keep in mind the above process of laundry and dos and don’ts about the process of saying hello to laundry. It may kick off and help in various priority cases.

“Look after your laundry, and your soul will look after itself.”
