Sort your clothes
The most important and basic rule to follow for the best laundry is sorting our clothes. Yes, you heard it right. The sorting is very essential for the better lifecycle of clothes. Here, sorting actually includes differentiating between light and heavy clothes. For eg. T-shirt, tracks, etc fall under light garments whereas Denim, sweaters, etc fall under heavy. During laundry, light clothes take less time as compared to heavy garments. If these light clothes are washed with heavy clothes then they result in the favor of heavy clothes. Because of which light clothes stay for a longer duration than expected leading to the reduced lifecycle. You might have to buy new light clothes soon.
Organize your clothes
This is the next thing you must take care of before the laundry. This includes all simple tasks
like –
- Unzipping, unbuttoning shirts, Kurtis, etc.
- Check the pockets for any miss outs.
- Keep bright clothes different.
- Bring pairs together. E g. socks, cushion covers, etc
- Open up the collars.
- Keep undergarments separately.
Selection time
Many people don’t realize the importance of selecting detergents and temperature at laundry unless their clothes come out faded and dull. The right choice of detergent is very important. The detergents can be classified into two types – Powder and Liquid detergents. Both of
them have their own principles to use whenever needed. Powder detergents don’t dissolve properly as compared to liquid in cold water. The proportion of enzymes is more in liquid detergents, thus selecting proper detergent that suits your need is an essential part of laundry. Cold temperature is suitable for light clothes and delicate fabrics. Similarly, hot temperature works for dense and heavy clothes.
