RUMBLE IN THE BRONX!

By adminblog

As COVID-19 keeps on spreading like a wildfire all around the world, the number of affected is going up and the regions where it is spreading are also multiplying every other day. Most of the world is struggling with getting proper medical protective supplies like masks, sanitizers, ventilators, etc. There are new reports and developments coming in every day regarding the pandemic. As the humans struggle for survival, nature is going through its own resurrection.

While humans have isolated themselves in, nature has been taking its own course of recovery. Many animals that we don’t usually watch coming out in human residential areas can be now seen taking a stroll around. Rivers, lakes, and air have never been recorded this clean in a long time.

Though there were reports that coronavirus doesn’t infect animals and there is no chance of infection through animals, it looks like a new development has been made coming all the way from Bronx Zoo.

Report of coronavirus in animals:

Nadia, a four-year-old Malayan tiger was diagnosed positive for coronavirus test. It is believed that Nadia has contracted the virus from its caretaker who was asymptomatic at that time. This discovery was made when Nadia along with her sister Azul, two Amur tigers and three African lions all developed dry coughs. These wild cats are expected to fully recover said the Wildlife Conservation Society that runs the city’s zoos.

These cats have experienced some decrease in appetite, and are otherwise doing well under veterinary care and are bright, alert, and interactive with their keepers. “It is still unknown how this disease develops in big cats since different species can react differently to the virus, but we will continue to monitor them closely and anticipate full recoveries.”, said zoo authority.

There have been reports of pets (a cat in Belgium and two dogs in Hong kong) being infected with the coronavirus prior to this report. It was said that they were not true and pets cannot contract and a means of transmission. Then again it was reported that these pet animals were infected through the people they stay with and they cannot spread the infection to other people or animals.

It would be advisable to look after your pets and if they show any symptoms of the virus then let the doctors know about this so that they can understand more about this and try to help you with your pet. New discoveries are made and reported so that proper precautions are taken to stop this pandemic.
