INDIAN GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES APPLICATION FOR COVID-19

The first case of coronavirus in India is identified on 30 January 2020. From March 24 Indian government announced the lockdown for 21 days to prevent the spreading of the corona.

Till the date, the corona positive cases increased in India so in many states they introduced mobile applications to know more updates on the coronavirus.

     India is planning up to launch an application to help people to check if they have been in close contact with the infected people. It tracks the location and alert user if you are near a COVID-19 infected people.

It will determine through the database of affected people. It’s is able to tell you if you’re in an area with a high number of coronavirus cases.

Already some states in India launched applications, which are:

Punjab

Punjab state government has adopted the unique coronavirus alert app(COVA). This app is launched early of march to help know correct information about the COVID-19. Launched by the state government Punjab along with the innovative digital Punjab team.

Which is now available in the Android play store and iOS app store. This application is available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Goa

     Goa state government has partnered with US-based health care data analytics company to release the country’s first digital self-assessment test for COVID-19.this applications name ‘Test Yourself Goa’

Those who need to take a test need to fill the survey. That asks for your name, contact number, location, visit of other countries and present symptoms. And also about the existing health condition as diabetes, asthma, hypertension. After analyzing the answers it will provide the result.

We are proud to become the first state in India to adopt technology solutions to tackle Coronavirus.”

Kerala

    Kerala government has launched an application called GoK – Direct Kerala with the help of QKopy a Kerala based start-up. This application provides information about coronavirus to the state people and sends a notification on the featured phone via SMS.

This will be helpful, for those who are not using a smartphone. Rating for this application is 4.8
